Wire Mesh For Rats

Pest Management

Last week hot topic was on rats! Our team managed to help our customer to catch close to 40 rats within a week. We found some proofing was done with wire mesh and only a layer. Contractor asked, isn't that sufficient enough to stop the rats from coming in and we told them, NO! The size of the wire mesh can still allow the rats to go through. At the same time, we managed to find baby rats...

By looking at the size of the rats, they agreed with my explanation. Therefore, in order to do a good proofing, the size of the wire mesh must be small enough. To check it out, use your pen! If a pen can go through the wire mesh, it means the size of the wire mesh is big enough for them to go through. Ensure the size of the wire mesh is smaller than the size of your pen. Alternatively, you may install double layers of the wire mesh. Check periodically cause they can gnaw the wire mesh as well.
